The lovely folk over at HangTime asked me to do a mix for them, more on the dancier side of things with a distinct UK Flavour. Although not a regular in the physical, Cairns raised CWD has indirectly played a large part in shaping the vision for Hangtime. His razor sharp, uniquely eclectic and dancefloor packing sets (and Dattebayo mixes) became legendary during his Melbourne time of 2005/06/07, shaking Opulent�s monthly Favela Rock party to it�s core and rocking any other jam he could get his happy little mitts in on. Then he moved to the UK and we all made sad panda faces. Then we started Hangtime and naturally asked him to create a mix for everyone to download, throw on this weekend and pretend like it�s 2007 again. Then he graciously wrote us a little blurb to go along with it. So without further ado�. Hope you enjoy. Hangtime weekly mixed by CWD

This gig is set to be massive! Two of New York's best DJs - Ayres (from Brooklyn's most popular night, The Rub) and Nick Catchdubs (co-owner of Fool's Gold with A-trak) - will be throwing it down at Roxanne. Expect a night across the musical spectrum from hip-hop to up-tempo bangers, this gig will be nothing but a straight up party. La Roux's second single is all over the radio this week, no one can escape it. Plus they are still playing "In For The Kill" at least 3 times a day, so I'm pretty much all La Roux'd out. If she ever plays in Oz def catch her, her voice is amazing. I'm still not down with the lastest filmclip. That slap they put on her makes her look Rangalicious and not in a good way. For us at Opulent this is one of the most anticipated drops in memory. Diplo and Switch have been promising for several years a collaboration involving Jamaican MCs whilst still working in the club music vein. They have had the Major Lazer MySpace with little on it for over a year, so it is good to see the project finally take shape. This is the first single from the album, Guns Don't Kill People, Lazers Do, which will be released through Downton Records later this year. If this track is anything to go by then it will be a FIYAH.
